Accessories and training
How do I choose the correct knee support size?
How to measure your leg
- Check the size chart for the selected knee support to see where the measurement should be taken: around the centre of the knee, thigh or calf at a stated distance from the joint.
- Stand upright and relax the leg slightly. Keep the knee straight unless the manufacturer instructs otherwise.
- Wrap a measuring tape around the leg at the correct point. It should sit closely against the skin without compressing it.
- Record the circumference in centimetres and find the corresponding size in the chart.
If you are between sizes
Follow the manufacturer recommendation. If you want a tighter level of support for training, the smaller size may be suitable. For walking and longer wear, the larger size is usually more comfortable.
How to tell if the size is correct
- The knee support fits closely and does not slide during walking or squats.
- You can bend the leg without excessive pressure behind the knee.
- There is no numbness, tingling or deep marking on the skin after removal.
