Vitamin B12, also known as cobalamin or the red vitamin, is a water-soluble B-group vitamin. Naturally present in animal products: meat, milk, fish and seafood. Some vegan products are fortified with vitamin B12.
Vitamin B12 forms differ in absorption. Methylcobalamin used in the OstroVit product is a bioactive form, easily absorbed, cyanide-free and retained longer in tissues. It also participates in methylation processes, which is why it is especially recommended for people with metabolic disorders.
