L-carnitine plays a role in fatty-acid oxidation (an important energy source for working muscles), which is why it is known as a potential ergogenic support among physically active individuals. Carnitine is a nutrient derived from amino acids that plays a key role in metabolic processes. Its primary task is the transport of long-chain fatty acids into the mitochondrial matrix, where they are oxidised. Carnitine also has other functions, such as maintaining cell-membrane integrity and reducing lactic-acid production. Human muscles contain high amounts of carnitine, but their levels depend on uptake from the bloodstream, as muscles themselves cannot synthesise carnitine. Mitochondrial fatty-acid oxidation is an important energy source for muscle metabolism, especially during exercise.

Ingredients:

78.1% L-carnitine tartrate, capsule shell [glazing agent (hydroxypropyl methylcellulose)], anti-caking agent (magnesium salts of fatty acids).

May contain traces of milk, soy, cereals containing gluten, egg, peanuts and other nuts.

Directions for use:

Take 2 capsules daily, without chewing, with sufficient liquid, preferably 30 minutes before a meal or training.
