The extract of freshly harvested aerial parts of the Echinacea purpurea plant has a specific phytochemical profile of biologically active compounds, including polysaccharides, flavonoids, hydroxycinnamic acids (chicoric, ferulic, coumaric, caffeic) and echinacea-specific: echinacin, echinolone and echinacoside. Standardization of the extract guarantees the content of at least 20% polysaccharides.
